Dr Dmitry Fedosov inducted as Corresponding Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh

On the 6th of October, The Moscow Caledonian Club celebrated in style the announcement that the club’s co-founder and Chairman, Dr Dmitry Fedosov, was elected and on 14 May inducted as Corresponding Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. He is the first ever historian from Russia or the former Russian Empire to be so honoured.

Dr Fedosov gave a speech, in which he recounted the experience of receiving the award. As always, Dr Fedosov’s speech contained many fascinating references to Scottish-Russian history.

On behalf of all members of the club, Frank McGuire congratulated Dr Fedosov and spoke about the importance of Scotland and performed some heart-warming renditions of Scottish songs. Other club members made impromptu congratulatory speeches, and the music and merriment continued until people had to leave.

CONGRATULATIONS DR FEDOSOV!
