EMBA at Skolkovo
Skolkovo Business School in conjunction with the Moscow British Business Club held a promotional evening to advertise their newly formed joint Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) to potential Euro Asia Business leaders, Entrepreneurs and Senior Manages of Industry at the Kelya Club at Vozdvizhenka Street in late September.
The programme comes with a twist as it is a joint collaboration with Hong Kong’s UST Business School and is focused on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) – a significant development strategy led by China and encompassing over 60 countries. It will lead to the setting of new norms and investment strategies. The programme is being developed at an interesting time given the current geo-political environment, and the USA administration’s stance on isolation and trade wars, even while new alliances are being formed, particularly amongst Asian nations.
Indeed, these are interesting times, given that the key figures show that the Belt and Road Initiative will encompass 62% of the world’s population, 34% of the world’s trade and 31% of the worlds GDP. This is a programme that the new generation of Russian based business men/women should be paying attention to in their desire in creating highly innovative and dynamic businesses that will be the cornerstone of the next decade’s interaction within this highly lucrative business environment.
I attended the event with 20 other business people. There was a mixture of business owners, bankers, lawyers and senior executives with nationalities ranging from Russians, Armenians, Americans and British. All seemed to be interested in understanding the benefits the programme could deliver in developing key management skills, soft skills, and negotiation in a programme heavily weighted in its focus on leadership and innovation.
The Hong Kong UST is one of the most prestigious Business schools in Asia. It is also No.1. in the Financial Times Global EMBA Ranking, and the joint Executive MBA programme of HKUST and Kellogg School of Management. The Moscow school of Management of Skolkovo is one of the leading private business schools in Russia and CIS and also N0.1. brand among the Russian schools by RBC.
The new dual degree programme EMBA for Eurasia by HKUST and Skolkovo business schools will be launched in November 2018. The price for the course is $130,000.
